Aquilo Chips Family
Aquilo Architecture integrates all UMTS femtocell baseband functions on a single die. On die embedded WCDMA L1 which performs the entire WCDMA layer 1 Uu interconnection between the femtocell and the connected UMTS devices. Embedded strong CPU which is dedicated to execute the entire upper layers UMTS stack up to the Iuh I/F and handles as well all the backhaul traffic using IP protocols. backhauling peripherals which are integrated on die and reduce the total BOM cost
Aquilo architecture is cost and performance driven. As such it enables the UMTS femtocell vendors to bring low cost UMTS femtocell CPEs while upgrading the overall system performance.
Aquilo is a scalable architecture, by cascading Aquilo chips one can linearly increase the number of users and extend the femtocell CPE services. As a scalable solution, Aquilo architecture addresses the UMTS femtocell residential market as well as the enterprise market.
Aquilo architecture combines programmable multi processing cores surrounded by powerful dedicated HW accelerators. By using Aquilo SoC architecture, Percello brings to the customer a low cost, small footprint, low power and high performance digital baseband for the UMTS femtocells market.
In addition, Aquilo architecture provides powerful and sophisticated answers to the CPE threats such as cloning and others, by having advanced capabilities of trusted platform such as secured boot and embedded OTP keys.
Having Aquilo architecture inside enables the UMTS operators to establish strong business case for the UMTS femtocell market.
