High Speed Multi-Mode 3G/LTE Femtocell SoC
PRC9000 is the industry's first multi-mode baseband SoC processor for UMTS/HSPA+/LTE Femtocells. This ground-breaking SoC supports numerous active users at data rates of 21.6/5.7 Mbps in HSPA+ mode, as well as dozens of simultaneous active users at data rates of 150/75 Mbps in LTE mode.
As part of Percello's Aquilo™ Femtocell SoC family, PRC9000 utilizes an advanced design to deliver
a low-cost, fully integrated and low power SoC that minimizes your BOM.
Percello's breakthrough Aquilo Femtocell SoC architecture integrates all UMTS/HSPA+/LTE Femtocell baseband functions on a single die. A dedicated Femtocell Layer 1 Engine (FLE) performs all WCDMA layer 1 Uu interconnections between the Femtocell and the connected UMTS devices. A dedicated enhanced Femtocell Layer 1 Engine (eFLE) performs all LTE layer 1 interconnections between the Femtocell and the connected LTE devices.
A powerful embedded CPU executes the upper layer UMTS/LTE stack up to the Iuh/S1 interface as well as handling backhaul traffic using IP protocols.
The PRC9000 SoC architecture combines programmable multi processing cores surrounded by powerful dedicated HW accelerators, enhancing system performance by offloading MIPS-intensive tasks from the CPU. By using the Aquilo SoC architecture, Percello is able to offer a low cost, small footprint, low power and high performance digital baseband processor for the LTE femtocell market.
